I have been a licensed Realtor since October of 1988. During my career, I have expanded my knowledge by earning several National Association of Realtors formal designations: Graduate Realtor Institute in 1993; Certified Real Estate Specialist in 1996; e-Pro Technology Specialist in 2010; and Senior Real Estate Specialist in 2013. Most of my business has been built on the foundation of personal referrals. After working as a Salesperson for 10 years, I went into management and subsequently managed several major franchises. In 2000, I opened Linnell Real Estate in Newtown, CT and operated for 5 1/2 years with 12 agents and a significant share of the Fairfield County market. My family moved to the Sunset Beach area in 2011 and in June of 2019 I started Calabash Realty serving the Coastal Carolinas from Ocean Isle Beach, NC, to Myrtle Beach, SC. Calabash Realty was acquired by ASAP Realty in June of 2022.

Originally from the suburbs of Connecticut, we had always vacationed on the shores of Marthas Vineyard and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In my adult years, I moved to the Boston area, got married and raised a family and wanted a change of pace for our vacation destinations. For 12 years, we had vacationed on the coastal shores of North Carolina. Its beauty reminded me of my days on the Cape and Islands, but had a more relaxed, low key vibe. My husband and I knew that someday, when the time was right, we wanted this to be our home. After a painstaking (almost) 2 years selling our home in the Boston area, in a very tough market, we sold our home and moved to the Ocean Isle Beach/Sunset Beach area. We were finally rid of the frigid winters and high taxes. It was during these years that I realized what it really took to both sell a house successfully, and be a buyer trying to narrow down just the right community for our family in this amazing area.
