He married his wife, Marcie, in 1992 and 10 years later they had a daughter then a son. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he became a Veterans of Foreign Wars Life Member & moved to Washington State to pursue a career in the Fire Service. From 1994 through 2013 he served as a Training Officer, CPR Instructor, Incident Safety Officer, Incident Commander & several other leading roles over the years. He also served on their Firefighter's Union most of his fire service career & held every position from Sec/Treas, VP & President.
